Garden Update

Today is Boss’s Day, so we’re having a party and ordering out from California Pizza Kitchen. A couple days ago I was checking the plants and finally found two watermelons!!! Woohoo!

Now all I have to do is remember to water them all the time so that they don’t shrivel up like my last ones. The peas are unfortunately pretty much dead. They turned yellow at some point, convincing me that I was a little to liberal with my watering.

My basil is the most wonderful smelling plant, I love it so much!

I can smell it just looking at the picture! Next week I’ll have to figure out some way to make nice little grilled sammies with turkey and basil, cause Grandma J gave me her leftovers while they visit family in Portland.

I did research for about a week on digital cameras and finally settled on the Panasonic Lumix TZ5. It shipped today, so I’m really excited about it!! I’m planning on making a bento to enter in the Fan Fest Crafting Contest, so I’m waiting for the camera to come in so that I can take better pics with it for my entry. I’ve got a good sketch going and a firm idea of what I’ll be putting in it. Wish me luck!
