Hamburger Stew Bento

This morning, as I was getting ready to hop onto my bike, I decided I’d better stop and pull out the damn wedgie trying to take up permanent residence. When I was ready to resume my bike-hopping-on, I turned and saw this middle aged man walking to work with this big smirk on his face.

I hope he goes through his entire day tomorrow with his fly down.

Hamburger Stew Bento

Today I had leftover hamburger stew in one of my Zojirushi Mini Bento. Although the set is gorgeous, I have a hard time taking good photos of this set for some reason, so I really don’t like how this one turned out. I put brown rice on top of the stew before packing it up, but I didn’t think just rice would look very good.

I forgot to take pictures while I was making the stew, so I don’t have anything for Learn2Cook right now, but hopefully soon. I packed a little salad with Mr. Pikko’s lettuce and some sliced radish. I brought my dressing to work and the salad was awesome with it. For dessert, I have strawberries and blueberries again.

Hamburger Stew Bento Points Calculation

1/2 cup brown rice – 3 points

salad – 0 points
1/2 tbsp Angelo Pietro Shoyu dressing – 1 point

Total: 8 points

Snacks: 2 bananas, 1 cutie

Weight: 149.1 lb

Yay, forward progress at last! Today biking was still awful, but it was slightly less awful nonetheless. I’m not gasping as much for sure.

On my way home someone rear ended a car just after they drove past me. I sure hope it wasn’t due to laughing at my Wall-E backpack. 🙁

Your post today really gave me a good laugh. I really enjoy your little inputs along with your bento entries.
I also tried making your Sunny Loco Moco from Yum-Yum Bento Box yesterday and it was really delicious! It will be a stable for my thermal bento from now on!

  • I get them at Costco, which is the only “affordable” place to buy such berries.

  • Ohh, glad you liked it! Did you use a quail egg or a regular egg?

  • Demi-Plum

I used a quail egg. It fit perfectly too which I was very pleased about. Just enough without being too much. I’m excited to make it again!

  • You are killing me! Picking your bum in front of pedestrians and causing car crashes! Too funny. Congrats on the great progress with your diet! I am trying to be good, but we are moving this month, and I just feel too stressed out to really focus on getting skinny. *sigh* You do it for me. 🙂
